De oprichtster, Ingrid L. Slot, is jarenlang werkzaam geweest bij verschillende grafische bedrijven en heeft sinds lange tijd ervaring met redigeren van teksten en publiceren op het internet.
Haar eerste website project, in samenwerking met een informatietechnologie-geörienteerde UVA student, startte zij in 1995, met het ontwerp van een site voor de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Osteopathie. Dit launch-project had tot doel: het ontwikkelen van een heel nieuw gezicht in de kunst van het ontwerpen van websites.

Na deze vingeroefening heeft ISdesign.nl in de navolgende jaren een geheel eigen stempel gedrukt op het ontwerpen van voornamelijk Nederlandstalige websites.
